Before 1881, all translations of the New Testament (including, most importantly, the 1611 King James Version (KJV), also known as the Authorised Version (AV)), were based on copies of Greek manuscripts known as the Textus Receptus, which is Latin for Received Text. 1881年之前,所有的新约(包括翻译,最重要的是,1611年国王詹姆斯版本(KJV),也被称为授权版(影音)),都是在作为Web网站receptus,这是已知的希腊手稿副本拉丁语收到的文字。 (Abbreviated to TR).
